Wholesale Weat price down by Rs.40 per 100KG

KARACHI: Wholesale market wheat price has decreased by Rs40 per 100 kilo, following the Sindh government lifting the ban on wheat transportation. Wheat brokers said that wheat price yesterday decreased to Rs2435 per 100 kilo from Rs2475. Brokers said that following the issuance of Sindh government notification today, further fall in price was expected. Sindh Flourmills Association (Sindh Circle) chairman, Jauhar Ali Qandhari said that flour price would also fall after decrease in wheat price. He said that flour availability presently was more than requirement, which could be exported also. 10-kilo flour bag in retail market is being sold at Rs300, while “chakki” flour at Rs32.
