He said that the obtaining gas would initially be supplied to powerhouses in a bid to generate lower-cost electricity as compared to those from high-cost furnace fueled. Dr. Asim Hussain claimed that Thar coal fueled electricity would be costlier than those fueled by Iranian gas. He said that the pipeline construction total cost would be around $1.20 billion, of which, $700 million would be on steel, which by hitching, efforts would be made to avail of the benefit.
