Lahore stocks dips by 17.26 points

LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) closed in the red zone on Friday. The LSE 25-share index declined by 17.26 points to close at 2,160.60 points as against its opening at 2,177.86 points. The volume of the market remained at 16.87 million shares, which was 0.39 million shares more than Thursday’s turnover of 16.48 million shares. Out of 110 active scrips, 22 went up, 38 declined and 50 showed no change in their opening values. Mari Gas Company was the major gainer and added Rs 7.46 to close at Rs 171.88 from its opening at Rs 164.42. ICI Pakistan gained Rs 6.29 to close at Rs 144 after opening at Rs 137.71. Engro Chemical was the major loser and declined by Rs 3.55 to close at Rs 140.29 as compared to its opening at Rs 143.84. Pakistan Oil Fields lost Rs 3.16 to close at Rs 155.63 as compared with its opening at Rs 158.79. Arif Habib Securities was the major volume leader with 2.70 million shares. It increased by 38 paisas to close at Rs 33.26 from its opening at Rs 32.88.
