Equities failed to show recovery signs at the Islamabad Stock Exchange

Equities failed to show recovery signs at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where major players and short-term margin hunters offloaded their positions to avoid heavy loses amid decrease in index. ISE Ten Index showed a decrease of 54.57 points, as the ISE Ten Index moved from 1,679.15 to 1,624.58 points.

The volume of trade amounted to 2,266,110 shares as compared to previous turnover of 2,703,054 shares. Total 137 companies participated in buying and selling activity. Majority of companies (113) closed in negative territory, 24 closed in positive zone, whereas zero company remained glued to their previous levels. The volume of NIB Bank was 419,500 shares. The turnover of Bank of Punjab was 51,875 shares. The volume of Pakistan Oil Fields was 142,900 shares.
